Cargo basket installed. Got the no-name brand off Amazon

Now trying to figure out how to get rally lights on it. Mud flaps, maybe and what else?

I could but the only issue is the wind deflector is full width. There's no room on either side. I don't want it on top of the basket. I want that streamlined look with the lights inside the basket ish

You could do a light bar under the wind deflector.

You can fit a light bar under the deflector of the basket. It won’t stand out, it will be discrete and shine like the sun.

If we ever go anywhere ever again, going to get one for the GFs highlander (we carry way too much shit). How’s the basket? Whenever you look up reviews, they tend to fall in to two categories: folks like us that say, yes it’s fine, and folks that get sanctimonious and insist that buying anything other than a *name brand* is a moral failure...not noting anything about the device they are reviewing.

Im.in the group of “it works fine”. It does its job which is to hold stuff and stay on the roof. I don’t see the point in spending over 200 or 300 on a name brand when they all do the same stuff.

If got the same rack for my wife’s Crosstrek. It’ll do but paint that sucker before they lay any salt down. I left it on the car last summer and it started to show some rust stains. Add salt and you won’t be able to take it apart again!

As mentioned by others - lightbar under the deflector. Looks like the bar could mount directly to the front crossbar.

I’ve got a Thule box. I like it because I can remove it easily and it keeps things dry.

There are enough yakamia and Thule boxes out there that I’ve found them used for very good prices. My Thule box is 14 years old and still works great. I use it about 20-30 days a year for camping and road trips.

you have tons of space on those rails, mount some rally lights outboard of the basket on the cross bar.

Nice wheels,. They won’t fit over the brakes though.

I’ve been a poser and haven’t yet.........

I had the pods cobble wired through the hatch for a bit for testing, but I disconnected that a long time ago, other things keep getting in the way of running the wiring and fixing the headliner.

I plan on running it out just under the drip edge through a small grommet with weatherproof quick connects. Should only see the wiring where it dips out to go into the holes, otherwise it’ll all be tucked away. Inside the wiring will run inside the interior panels.
